My Story
For years I had been a die-hard candle lover with quite a collection of candles including several jar candles. I love the ambiance of the glow and flicker of the flame as well as the fragrance it emits. My husband, on the other hand, is not a big fan of candles because of the lead contained within the wicks as well as the wax and soot that is emitted into the air therefore depositing itself on the ceiling, floors and furniture. He has worked for years designing and building fire stations for various fire departments around the state and has seen first-hand what an unattended burning candle can do. A few years ago a family member gave us a Scentsy warmer and 2 bars as a holiday gift. We were unsure of how a 25-watt light bulb could melt the wax enough to emit the fragrance the same as a candle did. We tried it and were hooked! After searching for several months to find a local consultant I was ready to give up and just order the same fragrances we were given as a gift, but I knew that there were several more fragrances and warmers to choose from. Then my hair stylist asked me if I knew anything about Scentsy and after telling her I had a warmer and was on my last piece of Satin Sheets, she let me know that she was now a Scentsy consultant. I hit pay dirt!!! The next thing I knew was that I had picked up several bars and another warmer. My husband is extremely thankful that I love Scentsy as much as I do and that we enjoy it every day. He is very active in helping me decide which fragrance to change to when the one currently in the warmer has given its all. There is no wax floating in the air as it is contained within the dish of the warmer and only the fragrance floats throughout the house. Many family members as well as friends have commented about my vast knowledge of Scentsy and how hooked I am on this fabulous product. They said that I would be fantastic at getting others hooked on the product as much as I was. So why not become a consultant and earn a paycheck while building my client base instead of helping someone else build theirs. I have never sold anything before in my life and usually take a long time to make a decision to do something without researching it fully. After several months of researching the company & products, attending some team meetings and soul-searching, I led myself to believe that I can do this. I signed up for $99 as that is all that it takes and I have not looked back.
